The PSG Institute of
Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IM&R)  was
established in the year 1985. Its growth in the past one and half
decade, diverse achievements and excellent facilities has brought
it, recognition from the Medical Council of India. Students
from PSG IM&R are eligible to take the United States Medical
Licensing Examinations. The twin objectives of the institution
are, to function as a centre par excellence, in imparting quality
education, together with rendering healthcare at the primary, as well
as the advanced level and accepting social responsibilities. The
institute has a 700-bed hospital, with excellent facilities and super
speciality departments. The Institute is also recognised by the General
Medical Council of United Kingdom and the Medical Council of
Sri Lanka.

| PSG POLYTECHNIC

One of the oldest polytechnics
in the region, PSG Polytechnic was started by PSG and Son’s
Charities in the year 1939. It is also one of the largest in
Tamil Nadu, taking in more than 400 students every year. Autonomous
since 1978, it offers a well-structured programme, in close collaboration
with the industry.
With its education being focussed on entrepreneurship the collaboration
and interaction with PSG Industrial Institute provides the
opportunity for the faculty to give practice-oriented education to
the students. The Institute has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA)
for industry-institute interaction. It also offers Industry-oriented
Sandwich Program in collaboration with local industries.
