The PSG College of Nursing
was established in the year 1994, to  train
professional nursing personnel. It is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu
Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. Located in the same campus
as the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, the
college has several eminent and experienced faculty members. The
PSG Hospital provides, opportunities for nursing students to develop
clinical skills through its wide and varied speciality areas and infrastructure.
The motto of the college is “Constant Care, Early Cure”.
The Baccalaureate Programme in Nursing prepares professional
nurses to work in a first level position with efficiency and competence.
The objectives of the college are to prepare graduate nurses, and
to make them competent in rendering comprehensive care. To help them
demonstrate the ability to function independently in providing care,
assume responsibilities as a member of multi-disciplinary team, develop
collaborative relationship with agencies and individuals and demonstrate
leadership qualities.
The students receive clinical experience in the Department of Medicine,
Surgery, Obsterics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry,
Dermatology, Pulomonolgy, Dentistry, ENT & Opthalmology, Cardiology,
Cardiothoracic Surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery,
Plastic Surgery, Gastroentrology, Nephrology, Hepatology, Diabetology
and in the Operation Theatre. The students undergo 6 months
internship to develop professional skills and competence after the
completion of the program.

The PSG College of Paramedical Sciences was established in
the year 1999 to turnout skilled and dedicated Physiotherapy professionals.
PSG College of Paramedical Sciences is affiliated to the Tamil
Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. The motto of the
college is “Effective Therapy, Early Recovery”.
The objectives of the college are to educate and train committed
manpower to alleviate human suffering, to evolve a suitable pattern
of patient care and to promote research and development in behavioural,
health and mental disciplines.
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) includes clinical experience
in all areas combined with theoretical instructions. The institution
believes that a professional therapist makes an unique contribution
in the prevention, acute care and cure of illness as well as maintenance
of health and geriatric rehabilitation of individuals, family and
community at large covering occupational hazards including sports
injuries. The students will undergo internship for a period of
6 months for developing professional skills and competence.
