Kovai Medical Center
and Hospital (KMCH) is a 350-bed multi- disciplinary
Hospital (covering over 40 medical disciplines) which treats around
500 in-patients and out-patients everyday. Equipped with state-of-the-art
facilities, the Hospital conducts super-speciality procedures like
Open heart surgeries, Angioplasties, Stenting, Kidney transplants,
Knee and Hip replacements, Laproscopic and Vascular surgeries and
Neuro surgeries.
Boasting one of the best Trauma Care teams and Centres in the city,
 KMCH
also runs five Trauma Care Centres on the Gandhipuram to Perundurai
route, in collaboration with the Rotary Club.
Among the several pioneering techniques that KMCH has been responsible
for, are GDC Coils and Clipping of Brain Aneurysms and interventional
procedures for Stroke management and Uterine fibroids. The Hospital
is recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK,
for the FRCS training programme in General Surgery.
 The
two satellite centres attached to KMCH, one at Perundurai and the
other at Ram Nagar, have both in-patient and out-patient facilities.
